I had contractions on and off all day today!  EEE~ not good!

28 weeks tomorrow  :)  Only 11 more left!

I ordered our new bedroom furniture tonight!  So excited to get it and make our room pretty!

11 more days of school left!  Summer is here!!

I am getting my new car on Thursday~ yipee!

 

Happy Memorial Day!

Another perfect day at Privett casa!  Swimming (finally figured out how to heat the pool, it was perfect temp) and BBQ... let us not forget out tennis tournament and basketball game!  Thank you friends and family for making it such a lovely day!

Super stoked to be surprising Aubrey with her tickets... but I have a few months to wait!!!

New couch...

Got a couch for the bonus room.  It is really yummy.  Can't wait to get our t.v. and I need to finish decorating but it is coming along!!!  It is the heart of our house for sure.  

Really cool start to a long weekend...

We took the kids to Magic Mountain today.  Scared the piss out of Halle bear...

Traumatized... wouldn't go on anything else after!!!

Then tonight I went to shut the garage door and something flew past my head, I thought it was a bat, but it was an OWL~  I was so excited!  Anyone that knows me knows I am IN LOVE with owls!  It was so great.  I stared at it for a half an hour and talked to him the whole time.  He was so cute!!!!!!!!!!!  I wish I could have kept him.  I waited til Darrin and Dalin got home so I could show him to them.  Then we opened the garage and he flew out!  Made my whole horrible week better!!!!!!  Thank you beautiful creature for showing yourself to me!!!

Worst night EVER~

I slept maybe 2 hours, in between sobbing and shaking...

10:00 Atlanta time, I call the house and Dalin answers.  He said that dad and Aubrey were out looking for Meggy.  ?!  What  ?!  I tried calling Darrin on his cel, no answer.  I tried calling back to the house, busy!  I was dying!  When I finally got a hold of D he confirmed that Meggy was missing.  She had been gone about 45 min at that point.  I was so upset.  I have never felt so helpless in my life!  There was nothing I could do!  Darrin looked til 10:00 his time, 1:00 my time.  Liz came over and drove around too.  Nothing.  Darrin went to work, and I sat in a hotel room alone and sobbed!

Next morning, Liz came and put up signs.  Carly came and searched and knocked on doors.  Darrin got home from work and searched.  Still nothing.  Longest day of my life.  I had to work that morning and still don't know how I got through it.  I fly home and as soon as I land I head straight to the kids' open house.  It was while at the open house that D and I got messages on our phone.  A lady had our dog!  I was so excited I couldn't even talk!!!  We went straight and picked her up!

Story she gave us was she found her wondering on the street right before our house and she almost got hit by a car, so she grabbed her, knocked on a few doors but no one knew who she belonged to.  She was going to make signs the next day and that is when she saw our sign.  Thank heaven for people like her!  I am so grateful to her!  Our neighbor!

Meggy is home!  She is home and I am happy!!!!!!!   So scary!

Atlanta and back in 36 hours...

It is my annual trip to Atlanta.  I left the house at 5 a.m. this morning.  I am here in Atlanta now, will work in the morning and will be home at 5 p.m. tomorrow.

Good news all around...

I found out today that the investigation shows that the other driver is 100% at fault.  Also my car is a total loss.  So all worked out.  Thank goodness.

A crazy week...

Last Thursday was a bad day.  I was taking the kids to school and on Whites Canyon coming to a stop at Stillmore.  The light turned green and I proceeded ahead into the intersection.   I was caught completely off guard by a car who had run the red and was right in front of me and I hit her.  She was flying!  I didn't even see her!  I hit her hard.  She was traveling so fast that she spun me to the right and into another car on Stillmore.  All I could hear was Aubrey and Dalin screaming "ow, OW, ow".  I turned around and saw that they were scared, but okay.  No blood, no obvious sign of injury.  My airbag had deployed.  On star was on the line and talking to me, I was looking for my phone that flew so I could call D.  I got a hold of him and was talking to him when someone came and got my kids out of the car and put them on the sidewalk.  Meanwhile the lady in the car I hit was still in her car, not moving... I got out to be with the kids and that is when paramedics began showing up.  It all happened fast.  It hit me when they were talking to us about our injuries that I was so worried about my babies that I forgot I was pregnant!  Then I really got scared.  The ambulances came.  They loaded up the lady first and took her off, she was pretty messed up.  Then they put the three of us in the back of one and headed to the hospital!  My first time and I pray last time in an ambulance!  We got to the hospital and awaiting us was all the docs and nurses.  They were totally ready for us.  D had called ahead.  It was VIP treatment the second we came in.  I was so embarrassed.  That was my biggest fear, having to go in via ambulance to D's work.  They quickly assessed us and determined we were all OK.  Dalin had a little bruise to his face, and Aubrey was complaining of her belly hurting so they did a cat scan but it came out clear.  She was probably scared and had sore muscles from the seat belt.  They released the kids pretty quick.  I had to stay however for 8 hours so they could monitor the baby.  They moved me up to OB.  Everyone was so great!  They wanted to keep me overnight.  I really wanted to go home, so I begged!  They agreed it was ok because D was gonna be with me.  I didn't sleep at all that night.  Maybe an hour.  Friday was yucky!  I was so tired and sore!  D really stepped up with the kids and I was able to get some rest that day and felt better by that evening.  The whole experience was so scary!  I close my eyes and still hear and see it.  I don't like that at all!  There are so many what if's?  If I had punched it off the line, she would have t boned me!  What if there were pedestrians in the crosswalk, it is after all the school cross walk, we would have both hit them... What if I was going faster than the 10 mph I was going, it would have been really bad for us.  I am just so thankful for my big car and my angel watching over me that morning!  I don't want to ever have that experience again!  Thank you to all the docs at HMNMH for taking such good care of us.  I really felt the love!  I am so thankful that we are all okay!  Even the lady I hit, she will be okay!  

Accidentally warm...

So last night we turned on the jacuzzi to go in after kids went to bed.  We went out and there was no water in the Jacuzzi.  OOPS~ turns out Halle had gone and played with the pool equipment and totally screwed things up.  So after an hour of trying to correct things, we finally went to bed.  Cut to this afternoon, we came home from school and went to the pool like we do a lot and I put my feet in to clean the shallow end and was shocked.  It was soooo warm.  For the first time, the pool was warm.  Well, the jacuzzi corrected itself and the heat was on all night!  Spilling into the pool all night and day.  Thus warming it right up.  Needless to say, I jumped in!  I took advantage of the warmth and had a great couple hours in the pool!!!  It was so fun!  Can't wait to see our electric bill this month!!  I almost fell over at last months!  :)

2:45 a.m.  "Mom, I just threw up all over my bed"... and so began my day.  Aubrey was sick all day.  Poor baby!!

So D got us 10 games worth of tickets this season... This is game two.  We took Dalin's b.f.f. Charlie.  It was a great game and as always a lot of fun!  I love baseball~ only sport I really like to watch!

I have laid by the pool three times this week already.  The kids want to swim the second they get home from school, and Halle asks all day, "pool?"  It is going to be a fun summer!

My first attempt at homemade bread... It was still really good!  

On a different note, I am 25 weeks.  14 weeks left to go.  yep.  Looks like delivery date is set for August 15th.  However I think that is the day my kids go back to school so I am opting of course for a day later so I can at least send them off to their new school.  I am doing good.  I am feeling better.  I think taking extra iron is really helping!  Getting big!!  Still working out though and I think that is helping!  Lots of stuff going on this summer... so time should fly by!  Can't wait to meet this monkey!  

My Meggy Sue...

Is getting old!  And I don't like it. She didn't handle this move well.  It is her 10th after all.  She will be 15 in September!  I think she may have had a stroke or something.  She is acting so strange.  And her hearing is gone!  Her eye sight is getting worse too!  I just can't think about it too much, I don't know what I will do when she goes.  I have convinced myself she isn't going!!  But she has to at some point!  I love you my baby girl!  My first born :)

Poor Dalin!

His poor feet were killing him at his game!  His cleats were too small!  So, we did a quick fix!!!

Thank goodness too, cuz his family was there to see him play what was his best game to date!

Turning 40...

I am three years away from that milestone.  I don't really have any thoughts or fears over that upcoming event... but it was nice to have Darrin experience it before me.  :)

I got my bikini waxed today.  Halle went with me.  She was concerned the whole time asking if I was ok?  Mommy hurt?  Giving me kisses.  It was cute!

I lift my legs up towards my chest so Liz can get where she needs to get.  I have a towel over me down there and Halle says "mommy you dipey change?"

Liz and I died laughing!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  Of course that is what it looked like!  OMG~ too much!
