Getting out and about...

To start of the long weekend we went to Universal.   It was super fun.  I haven't been in so long, I forgot what it was like.  We traumatized Halle on Transformers.  She didn't want to go on anything else.  But it was perfect cuz Lupe came and she watched both Hal and the baby while we went on a few more rides.  :)

2 weeks already!

Laney had her 2 week appointment today.  She has gone back up to 8 lbs. 7 oz.  We would like to see her up more, but 4 oz in five days is pretty good.  We will weigh her again on Friday and make sure she is going up.  It is just her and I.  No formula.  We are really trying!  We will decide on Friday if we need to supplement.  She is great otherwise.  Still the best baby.  There were two other babies in the doctors office and they were both crying big time.  Not Lane, she was her normal happy, quiet self!  Love her to pieces.  It is going to fast!

Nana and papa left today... It was so great having them here!  Having mom's help all week was so wonderful and much appreciated!!  I was afraid to go it alone today, but we did alright.  I think I can do this four kid thing...

Laney is doing great!  We are slowly getting the feeding down.  :) 

She sleeps like a champ still.  After the 9 hour night she did 8 1/2 and 8... then I had the brainiac idea to wake her cuz "she needed to feed" and I broke the golden rule.  Never wake a sleeping baby.  Oh well.  She did good last night even with feedings.  She is such a love!  So happy!  So cute :)  

While Darrin was busy doing fantasy football with his co workers.  I had bonding time with miss Laney!

She slept 9 hours last night!  I am still in shock!!  I was like a new woman today!  I felt great!

Turning a corner...

THANK GOODNESS~ it has been a rough go with the breast this time.  In terms of the pain, UNBEARABLE pain for 2 to 3 days.  I almost gave up three times.  It is getting a bit better, I can tolerate it.  Now if I can just get some milk flow so she can gain weight and be full for once that would be magical!

Other than that, life is beautiful!  I am so thankful to have the help that I have.  First, D has been so great I can't even put it into words.  He stepped up BIG time with all the "stuff" that needed to be done while I was in the hospital and just having him here has been so nice!  But all good things must come to an end.  Back to work.  :(  I genuinely missed him last night.  I loved having him for five days.  Mom (S) is here with me til Sunday.  Thank you life saver!  She stepped right in just as she always has.  It means the world to me.  People have brought us dinner every night since Wed of last week and it won't stop til Friday night.  SPOILED...  And of course Miss Lupe is a GOD send!  I am so thankful that we decided to hire her.  She  is making my life a dream!  I will devote a whole post to her and our decision to have her with our family on another night.  I am trying so hard not to feel guilty but rather just focus on the fact that I get to spend all day with the babies and the needs of my house, laundry and all the stuff that was to be I am sure overwhelming is being taken care of.  I am so lucky!!!!!  Thanks D for talking me into it.  It is the best decision we have made in a long time!    

Today was Laney's first bath and she loved it.  Fell asleep in the bath.  :)  She had her pediatrician appt here at the house on Monday and she is still a little Jaundice and is down 12 oz but she is good otherwise.  I am hoping at her weight check tomorrow she has gained a little bit back.  She is still so good!  Just an angel!  I am in love all over again.  Overflowing!

I am coming out of the mom fog a little and feeling better everyday.  The healing process this time seems a little harder than I remember but I am getting old, I have to remember that!
